Camellia japonica "Dahlonega" is a dense somewhat compact camellia that blooms in mid winter. It's blooms are a beautiful small formal double with an ivory to almost buttercup yellow center. Dahlonega will grow well in zone 8 and possibly in zone 7. It will do fine in a shady location - although it has been known to grow in full sun provided adequate nutrients and water. |
